Big Gifts

When Teresa’s father passed away, she asked for donations to CNEWA in lieu of flowers. She collected $4,000 and dedicated it to the support of a Catholic school in Ethiopia. Then, Teresa’s husband asked his employer at the time, Dun & Bradstreet, to match this memorial gift. The company agreed and doubled the support that went to the school and its students.

Small Gifts

Kathy has been supporting the good works of CNEWA for over 15 years. One day, over coffee with a friend from the human resources department, Kathy learned that her employer, Chevron, offered matching gifts. She’d never known it! Now, Kathy is doubling her support for CNEWA — at no extra cost to her.

Even Sponsorship Gifts

Kevin works for Microsoft. When he decided to make a difference in the life of a needy child by becoming a sponsor, he checked with human resources to see if the company would match his monthly sponsorship gifts. Guess what? They do! Now, for every dollar that Kevin gives his child, Microsoft gives a dollar for the care of all the needy children in CNEWA’s orphanages and schools.

There’s a good chance your employer offers you this benefit, too. Are you taking advantage of it? If not, then stretch those legs and walk over to your human resources department and ask them about Employer Matching Gifts.
