You Impact Lives in Ways You Don’t Even Recognize

It’s remarkable how small our church is. Even though it’s a billion strong, that’s not so many people. There are Catholics halfway around the world, but that’s not so far away.

I was in Smyrna, Del., to preach about the good works of CNEWA at St. Polycarp Roman Catholic Church, and I mentioned this in my homily. After Mass, a parishioner walked up to me.

“You’re right,” he said, “the church is small.”

“You brought my nieces in to the church when you were a pastor at St. Joseph’s in Anderson, S.C.,” he explained, referring to a tiny parish in a small city some 600 miles away from the little town we were in.

I had impacted this man’s life — and I didn’t even know it. And that’s exactly what you do through your prayers and your continuing support for CNEWA. You impact lives in ways that you don’t even recognize!
