Graphics Designer
Catholic Near East Welfare Association seeks a full-time Graphic Designer for the creative development and implementation of digital and print graphic designs. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years working experience designing for web and print mediums with strong layout skills and a keen sense of detail. Candidates must be able to thrive within a small team setting and excel at working collaboratively with their peers. Must be able to actively participate in creative process, show strong self-initiative yet be open to direction and input.
Duties:
Conceives and develops format, layouts and graphics for agency print and digital projects, including ONE magazine, web sites, advertisements, email blasts and direct mail appeals.
Selects photographs from agency photograph file and secures appropriate permissions; functions as liaison with printers regarding images.
Works with printers, and when appropriate with the Print Production Manager, to assure feasibility of extraordinary print details; submits electronic files to printers and reviews final proofs to ensure design integrity and production quality.
Ensures layouts adhere to CNEWA graphic standards.
Requirements:
College degree in visual communication/graphic design or equivalent field.
Highly proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
Web and print skills are a must.
Strong familiarity with HTML and Flash.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Deadline driven.
Proficiency with Mac platforms.
Must be able to provide on-line portfolio.
